Dr Khan is a Principal dentist & Clinical Director at The Lodge Dental. Dr Khan graduated in 2005 from the University of Birmingham & has been practising Dentistry since. She has also pursued post-graduate learning at UCLAN in paediatric dentistry. Tasmia has a special interest in paediatric dentistry and has been leading campaigns at primary schools across Manchester to encourage kids to look after their oral hygiene. She has also been a lead initiator & campaigner for the public health initiative “Baby Teeth Do Matter”. Dr Khan has also in the past led the Local Dental Network as a chairperson in Greater Manchester. She has also been a mentor and trainer for newly qualified dentists in General Practice. Dr Khan's key interests are Paediatrics & Minor Oral Surgery.
Claudia gained her BDS qualification from the University of Glasgow in 2016 and worked in a number of practices in Scotland before moving to Manchester.
Claudia has also gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in England and is a qualified Facial Aesthetics practitioner.
Claudia has a keen interest in minimal invasive cosmetic dentistry and enjoys using white filling materials in her day to day work.
Outside of work, Claudia is a bit too busy. Engaging in public speaking, counselling and running a food bank. You’ll often hear her laughing before you see her.
Sin qualified from The University of London in 1998, and worked at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester as a House Officer. He then decided to move into the field of Surgical Dentistry, where he acquired his surgical training as a Senior House Officer and Clinical Assistant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He attained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS) in 2001, and completed his Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Manchester in 2004. In 2010, he gained his PhD with a research topic to examine postoperative pain relief following oral surgery.
Sin is currently working in various practices around Manchester providing implants, oral surgery and intravenous sedation services. He is a clinical supervisor and examiner for postgraduate students in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manchester. He is an Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) accredited trainer, and.has also lectured extensively in oral surgery and conscious sedation.
Mr Greval qualified from The University of Manchester in 2014. He has worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery across a variety of hospitals including Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Wigan and Leigh Infirmary, Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, The Countess of Chester, and Liverpool Dental Hospital. He achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS RCPSG) in 2016.
Dr Jasim Greval is currently working at The Lodge Dental performing Minor Oral Surgery and Intravenous Sedation services as well as general dentistry.
Shafia qualified from the University of Manchester in 2014 and since then has undertaken various post graduate studies in order to broaden her skill set and gain experience especially in the field of Oral Surgery. Shafia has completed two years post graduate training in major trauma hospitals across Yorkshire, allowing her to get first-hand experience in trauma, cancer and complex dental cases.
Shafia is sedation trained and is also an Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) accredited trainer. This allows her to be able to provide IV sedation for anxious patients and open up treatment for those that it would otherwise be inaccessible to.
Having worked in a busy mixed NHS practice providing oral surgery and NHS dentistry for many years, Shafia has a wealth of experience in dealing with complex surgical cases and also dealing with nervous patients. She can also place and restore dental implants, meaning that patients can have every choice when it comes to replacing missing teeth.
Dr Azhar Ghafoor graduated in 2016 from The University of Leeds. He is a Cosmetic Dentist who has completed a year long Postgraduate Certificate in restorative dentistry. Dr Ghafoor has completed many courses to enhance his skills and is currently undergoing a postgraduate qualification in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment).
Dr Ghafoor is dedicated to creating bespoke treatment plans for every patient. His attentive personality means that he takes his time to listen to the needs of his patients. His calm and approachable nature helps put nervous patients at ease.
Invisalign, C fast braces, root canal treatment, composite bonding and veneers are some of the many treatments Dr Ghafoor provides. His main focus is basing treatment on minimal invasive dentistry.
He is an avid football fan with a keen interest in general sports. A family man who enjoys going out and exploring new places.
Khadija qualified from The University of Manchester in 2019 with Honours, receiving a certificate for the highest overall performance in the 5 years of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery programme for her year group. Following completion of her Dental Foundation Training, she worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial Senior House Officer in a number of hospitals across Manchester including Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Salford Royal Foundation Trust and Trafford General Hospital.
She has a wide range of interests in dentistry, particularly oral surgery and has presented a poster at the British Association of Oral Surgery Conference in 2018 and a case report at the European Association for Cranio Maxillofacial Surgery in 2021.
Khadija is dedicated to gaining and sharing knowledge and published an article on Paediatric Dentistry in Dental Update as an undergraduate student.
Khadija is bilingual, being proficient at both English and Arabic. Khadija is a keen traveller and enjoys exploring new places in her free time
Abd qualified at Manchester University Dental Hospital. He has since worked at: The Royal Blackburn Hospital as a senior clinical fellow in oral and maxillofacial department carrying out complex minor oral surgery, trauma and cancer cases referred to the hospital. He also supervises core trainees carrying out minor oral surgery here. Kings College London as a Clinical tutor teaching and delivering lectures on oral surgery to undergraduate students at the Dental Hospital. Abd works mainly as a visiting oral surgeon carrying out implants and cosmetic dentistry Abd attention to detail is second to none and aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all his patients with his years of experience.

“Hi, I’m Mollie. In 2021, I qualified with a BSC in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Leeds. I am currently undertaking my dental therapy foundation training at The Lodge Dental.
In my role, I enjoy providing aesthetic composite build ups and stain removal, along with preventative treatment such as scaling, fluoride varnish and minimally invasive restorations. I love to work with children and I am passionate about providing oral hygiene advice.
In my spare time I love to read and draw, playing musical instruments and I have just started to learn Hindi.
Sumayyah qualified as a dental nurse in 2012. She gained her NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing at Tameside College. Her current position is assisting the dentist in surgery and helping with reception tasks. Sumayyah has completed a course in ‘Making prevention work in practice’ allowing her to deliver oral health advice to patients and apply prescribed fluoride varnish, she has also now completed her sedation training. She hopes to progress in the future by attending more courses aimed at dental nurses to better her knowledge.
Rhea qualified as a dental nurse and achieved her NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2016. She works along-side the dentist assisting in the care of patients, making sure the patients are at ease, help them feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental visit. She carries out her nursing duties throughout the practice.
I’m Katie. I started as a Trainee dental nurse in 2012 and qualified in 2013 at The Manchester Academy. I am now a registered dental nurse. I divide my time at the practice between nursing for the oral surgeons, helping the patients feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible, assisting on reception often focusing on Minor oral surgery referrals, printing and making appointments for referred patient and also doing consultations for the IV Sedation patients. I really enjoy my job and working as part of the team.
Dr Junaid Iqbal graduated from the University of Manchester in 2013. After completing Foundation training in Leeds he was offered the position of Senior House Officer in Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Here he successfully completed his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and was awarded his Diploma in 2015. He completed a certificate in Advanced Restorative Dentistry on Harley Street London in 2016 and then pursued further postgraduate training in Dental Implantology. Dr Iqbal developed a special Interest in Oral Surgery and he now works both in hospital and in multiple dental practices across Manchester and Liverpool accepting referrals for complex Wisdom teeth, Dental Implants and Apicectomies. He also offers Intravenous Sedation for his nervous and anxious patients. He is an IACSD and STAC accredited mentor for IV sedation, a SAAD Member and IV Sedation trainer. He is also an active Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
He has given lectures regionally and internationally on topics such as Oral Cancer and Oral Disease and teaches Oral Surgery to Undergraduate Dental Students at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester.
In his spare time Junaid likes to swim and is an avid Scuba Diver.
Dr. Arfeen Aslam graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Dentistry, King’s College London and obtained his membership of the faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012.
He has completed various postgraduate dental courses including a one year certificate in advanced aesthetic and restorative dentistry, followed by gaining recognition as a fully certified provider of a wide range of orthodontic treatments providing both fixed and removal cosmetic braces solutions. Arfeen has recently completed a year long programme in implant placement. He has a real passion for this field of dentistry.
Arfeen takes real pride and pleasure in his work. Along with a caring, ethical approach he strives to make a difference to each and every person that he treats.
Outside of dentistry, he combines his passion of sport and travelling to watch numerous sporting events around the world and experience new cultures.
Ibraheem Hakim joined the practice in 2019, after graduating with honours in Dental Hygiene and Therapy, from Teesside University in 2019. Ibraheem can carry out fillings, treat and help patients prevent gum disease.
Away from work Ibraheem enjoys travelling and playing football.
Kacie is a trainee dental nurse, she started working at the practice in October 2018 and is working towards her dental nurse qualification at college which she started in March 2019.
Oliver is a qualified dental nurse and has achieved his NVQ level 3 diploma in dental nursing. Oliver qualified in 2017 at Tameside College. Oliver came to our practice in 2018 after working in another dental practice. Oliver works alongside the dentist making sure patients are at ease and feel comfortable when in the dental chair. Oliver is currently attending Manchester dental hospital to gain a sedation qualification.
Aisha qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from Newcastle University in 2020. She is currently doing her dental foundation training at the practice. Aisha is passionate about her job and enjoys helping patients achieve the best possible outcome through their treatment. She uses a calm and empathetic manner to educate, motivate and treat patients. Her daily tasks include restorations, paediatric dentistry, periodontal treatment and educating patients to improve their oral hygiene. Aisha also regularly attends lectures to keep up to date with the latest advances in dentistry. In her spare time, Aisha enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with family.
My name is Aquila and I graduated with a BDS in 2013 at the University of Liverpool, receiving the Tom Pitt-Ford prize in Endodontology. I have been working as an Associate in general practice since completing my foundation training. I have a keen interest in various aspects of general dentistry including aesthetic treatments such as composite bonding. I find putting anxious patients at ease in a relaxed and friendly environment particularly rewarding.
I regularly attend courses to keep up to date with current practice and I am certified in providing short term orthodontics such as Invisalign and Quick Straight Teeth.
Having successfully completed entrance exams, I am also a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Eng), demonstrating my commitment to continuous professional development.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling.
Lara is a trainee dental nurse, she currently started working at the practice in February she is attending college to achieve her NVQ level 3 diploma in dental nursing.
